Terms of Service
1. What this app is
This app ("the app," "we," "us") helps students, parents, and teachers track music practice: recording practice takes, running automated audio analysis (tempo, rhythm, dynamics, and rough pitch tracking), and generating AI-assisted coaching feedback. It is currently offered as a small, invite-only private beta and is not a finished commercial product.
2. Accounts and families
Accounts are organized into families and teacher-student links. A parent/guardian account can see and manage the accounts and data of the students in their own family. A teacher account can see practice data only for the students who have been explicitly linked to them. By using an invite link, you agree that the person or organization who invited you (a parent, guardian, or teacher) may have visibility into your practice activity as described in the Privacy Policy.
3. Accounts for minors
Many users of this app are minors practicing an instrument. A parent or guardian is expected to create and/or supervise a minor's account, consent to this app's data practices on the minor's behalf, and may access, export, or delete the minor's account data at any time via the family's parent account.
4. Acceptable use
Don't use the app to upload recordings or content you don't have the right to share, to attempt to access another family's or student's data without authorization, or to disrupt or reverse-engineer the service. We may suspend or remove accounts that violate this during the beta.
5. AI-generated feedback isn't professional instruction
Practice feedback, dynamics/pitch analysis, and suggested practice plans are generated by automated audio analysis and an AI model. They are meant to be a helpful supplement to practice, not a substitute for a qualified music teacher's judgment, and may contain inaccuracies (audio-based pitch/rhythm detection is inherently imperfect).
6. Beta status, availability
As a beta service, features, data models, and availability may change or be interrupted without notice, and we make no uptime or data-durability guarantees beyond reasonable best-effort care. We recommend not relying on this app as the sole copy of any recording you care about keeping.
7. Account deletion
You may delete your own account at any time from Account settings. Deleting your account permanently removes your profile and the data directly associated with it (pieces, recordings, sessions, analysis results); it does not delete other family members' accounts or data.
Subscriptions and trials
Creating an account does not authorize a payment or start a paid subscription. A parent or guardian may separately enroll the family through Stripe Checkout after reviewing and accepting the displayed price, billing frequency, trial eligibility, and automatic-renewal terms. Eligible first-time subscribers receive a 14-day trial; payment details are required to enroll. After the trial, the chosen subscription renews automatically unless canceled.
Parents can cancel online from Billing without contacting support or deleting accounts. Canceling during the trial ends the subscription without a subscription charge. Canceling a paid subscription stops renewal at the end of the paid period; it does not by itself refund an earlier payment or delete recordings and account data. Applicable legal refund rights remain unaffected. Trial and billing notices are transactional messages, separate from optional practice reminders.
